The road to what would become ReliaWeather.com began in 2002,
following a late-season tornado that carved a half-mile wide path of destruction across Northwest Ohio.
In the weeks to follow, Meteorologist Jason Berry started his own Severe Weather Awareness Program amidst his senior year of high school.
By spring 2003, Weatherview had been formed as a non-profit organization, whoes mission was promoting severe weather awareness amongst student body, faculty and staff. It would be another three years or during Berry's college career, before rights were purchased and Weatherview.org became a fully operational and ad-free site.
In the years to follow, Berry's career as a meteorologist would excel and so would Weatherview.org. By late 2009, increased site traffic had created a new demand for advertising, and the site had evolved into a state-of-the-art, commercial web source for regional weather news and forecasts.
